Last year I started making ginger shots around this time of year, to prevent the season cold getting a hold of me. This year I forgot and I’ve been paying the price. So now I’ve taken it up again, so hopefully I can prevent any winter flu.
When I tried to find inspiration/find any recipes online, the outcome was almost non-existent. So I made up my own and it’s freaking delicious! Also, forget about expensive juicers – this is purely blender-frendly!
Without further ado here’s 1 ground recipe and 2 over-the-top recipes.
All you need:
1 x 1 cm peeled ginger
0,5 L of water
– your ground recipe ingredients –
1 big carrot
1 teaspoon of honey
1 x 1 cm ginger
½ teaspoon cane sugar
½ teaspoon cinnamon
A squeeze of lemon (optional)
0,5 L water
What to do:
No matter what recipe you choose the approach is the same.
1. Cut, slice and dice your veggies and put them in the blender, a long with water.
2. Blend it for 2 minutes.
3. Pour it through the colander into your bottles of choice.
